Enclosed Power Supply

What is the Enclosed Power Supply?

An enclosed power supply uses a frame (case) to contain all electronic components within. The frame offers protection from shocks, impacts, and other external interferences. Since heat dissipation is important for an enclosed power supply, the frame is usually perforated with calculation. Therefore all sides of the enclosed power supply provide enough convection cooling for heat dissipation. Although the perforated frame provides protection for the power supply, it does not prevent dirt, dust, and particles from contacting the PCB board. The accumulation of these substances results in a negative impact on the cooling and performance of the electric circuit. Therefore, where to install should be taken into consideration and chosen wisely. Scroll down to browse Acro’s enclosed power supply series!
